How we make money

CalcLedger is free to use. Here is exactly how the site is paid for, and what that does and does not affect.

Display advertising

The site is funded by display ads served by Google AdSense. Google chooses which ads appear, based on the page and, where you have allowed it, on your interests. We don't pick individual advertisers, and an ad on a page is not a recommendation from us. You can manage ad personalization in your Google account; see our privacy policy for the details.

What advertising never changes

The math. Every calculator uses the published formulas on our how we calculate page, and the same inputs always give the same answer.
The guides. No lender, bank or advertiser pays to be mentioned, reviews our content before it is published, or can ask us to change it.
No rankings for sale. We don't publish paid placements or "best lender" lists.
Your numbers stay with you. Calculators run in your browser; we don't collect what you type or sell leads to lenders.

Affiliate links

Today the site has no affiliate or partner links. If we ever add them, for example links to compare loan offers, we will label them clearly on the page where they appear, explain them here, follow the Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guidance, and keep them out of our calculations and editorial choices.
